Pamphlets

Throughout 2016, we publish a series of Side Room Pamphlets parallel to our program. These pamphlets document the generous and associative thinking which takes place between guest speakers, hosts, friends and visitors during the gatherings, workshops, seminars and other constellations that we host at the Side Room. They generate a web of perspectives, which emerged from sharing space and time, and thinking along and with each other.

Translating from the living moments to the printed page, the Side Room Pamphlets experiment with documenting collective thinking, musings and doings. The pamphlets are an attempt to make the events accessible to those who couldn’t attend and to circulate alternative references, names, practices within and outside of our networks.

Each pamphlet consists of transcripts from the conversation we had during the event. Also, it includes a selection of source materials and references, and a contribution by an invited respondent. The pamphlets are put together instantly after the event, in newspaper style.
